Class Details

The first step to your journey with swift is a 60 minute personalized orientation with one of our instructors.

TRY A CLASS

Summary:

  • Beginner: Develop agility, balance, control, strength and fundamental techniques for Parkour. Jump, swing, climb, roll, and more!
  • Intermediate: Builds on skills you learn from beginner classes, teaches you to weigh mental and physical aspects of the sport, and shows you how to combine harder skills. 
  • Advanced: Builds on skills you learn from beginner and intermediate classes, teaches you to weigh the mental and physical aspects of the sport, and shows you how to combine harder skills.

Ages:

  • Beginner Youth: 6-15
  • Beginner Adult: 15+
  • Intermediate: 8+
  • Advanced: 8+

Prerequisites:

  • Beginner: Trial Class Required
  • Intermediate: Completed Level 2 (Grey) #SwiftSkillBand
  • Advanced: Completed Level 4 (Red) #SwiftSkillBand

Summary: A combination of freerunning, tumbling, trampoline, tricking, and more to provide a full approach on how to flip and combine stylistic moves that you can apply in any environment!

Youth ages: 6-15
Teen/Adult ages:
15+

Prerequisite: Trial Class Required

Summary: Tricking is a training discipline that combines kicks with flips and twists from martial arts and gymnastics as well as many dance moves and styles from breakdancing. It aims to achieve an aesthetic display of different combinations of “tricks”.

Ages: 6+

Prerequisite: Trial Class Required 

We partner with Elevated Aerials to provide instruction to learn the art of performance in the air on suspended apparatus.

We have something for ALL skill levels, no experience is necessary! We teach ages 12+ and welcome everyone – of all genders, races, shapes and sizes to come give aerials a try.

Fitness and Mobility Sessions

Summary: Combines flexibility, balance, stability, and strength exercises that increase the range of movements and motions your body can perform. The class goes through a range of full body mobility exercises, foam rolling, and other active mobility techniques focused on increasing flexibility, building strength through stability, and preventing injury. This is a great option for parents or active adults who are looking for ways to be more functionally fit. It’s also great for athletes who need to slow down and improve their recovery habits.

Age: 15+ 

Prerequisite: No Experience Required

Summary: Circuit based group fitness class that focuses on exercising in a unique environment by working through a combination of fitness-oriented challenges and exercises. This class helps you to improve overall fitness, strength, stamina, coordination, and confidence. Great for those looking for a unique way to be active! 

Age: 15+

Prerequisite: No Experience Required 

Compliments: Parkour, Acrobatics

Summary: Combines the dynamic wisdom of acrobatics, the awareness, breath and balance of yoga and helps to develop trust and friendship with others. It’s a form of partner based yoga that increases flexibility, strength, and builds confidence by learning new skills and overcoming challenges. This 60 minute class will teach you basic movements and help you progress toward more advanced flows.

No partner required!

Age: 15+

Prerequisite: No Experience Required 

Summary: This class adds a twist to traditional yoga by focusing on strength and flexibility and helping each individual find fun in challenging their mobility.  A portion of each class focuses on standing balance and hand balancing skills.

Age: 15+

Prerequisite: No Experience Required 

Summary: Joe leads a 30 minute weekly splits routine covering front split, middle split, and pancake.

Age: 15+ 

Prerequisite: No Experience Required

Summary: Rings is a 60 minute session focused on a fun and dynamic workout that utilizes suspended rings to improve overall fitness and target different muscle groups. Suitable for all fitness levels with modifications provided. Works towards skills like front lever, back lever, meathook, muscle up, and others.

Age: 15+ 

Prerequisite: Recommended to be able to hang for 5 seconds.

Summary: This class uses techniques from Yoga and Calisthenics to progress through headstand, forearm stand, and handstand.
Joe is a certified Yoga instructor and has been on a personal handstand journey to improve his inversions and hand balancing.

Age: 15+ 

Prerequisite: Recommended to be able to do a somersault.

Open Gyms

Train on your own or with friends, practicing skills you learned in classes. This time is to improve your skills, not play games or just do whatever.

During open gym you can:

  • Complete your skill card for level testing!
  • Build a more efficient body using our workout area (squat rack, mobility balls, and other fitness equipment)
  • Mini Trampoline or EuroTramp
  • Tumbling/Tricking on the spring floor

Age: 6+

Prerequisite: Requires prior attendance.

This session is available for our students most dedicated to their personal training and growth. 

This session is lightly supervised as it takes place during other classes. You will have limited access to the facility as the classes will take precedence

MUST HAVE COMPLETED LVL 3 (BLACK) SKILL BAND OR BE APPROVED BY INSTRUCTOR.

Competitions

Parkour competitions showcase athletes’ abilities by navigating obstacles in SPEED, SKILL, STYLE, or CHASE TAG. Participating in these competitions allows for challenging oneself, setting goals, and learning within a supportive community.  Experience parkour for yourself and join the fun!

Nerf Wars

Every month we hold a 4 hour Nerf night! Pizza, darts, and safety goggles are provided. Participants must bring their own weapons and gear.

From Spring to Fall we regularly have #CincinnatiParkour athletes and Swift Community members heading out around the city to do parkour!

We host 2 larger events each year, the Spring Leave No Trace jam in April, and Cincy Jam in October.

What should my kids bring/wear?

My kids don't like sports, will they like parkour?

It’s a familiar scenario – some students don’t connect with traditional sports and end up feeling uninspired, turning to excessive screen time at home. At Swift, parkour feels like a real-life video game! Without the daunting rules and expectations of conventional sports, kids and adults alike explore new ways of using their bodies, thriving as they climb, swing, flip, and more. What happens in a typical class?

  1. Dynamic Warm-Up: Our warm ups consist of dynamic exercises to get the joints and muscles engaged. We include a mental warm up to get you alert and prepared for class. Finally including a few exercises to build strength.
  2. Theme Overview: Your instructor will give you details on the theme of the session. Our themes cover different ways to utilize the skills you’ll learn.
  3. Skill Drills: Our professional staff will setup a variety of stations with varying levels of skills for you to try! They’ll give you personalized feedback on how to improve and will adjust the challenges to your level! 
  4. Courses & Games: You’ll explore applying the skills covered in class along with ones you’ve learned in prior sessions through a variety of games and courses.
  5. Level Testing: At the end of each parkour class we have time to work through our #SwiftSkillBand system to help you level up! Tracking progress and growth is a great way to reward yourself and stay motivated!

Tricking

Tricking is a challenging and dynamic form of athletic movement that emphasizes creativity and self-expression through the creation of unique combinations of tricks. It combines elements from martial arts, acrobatics, tumbling, and breakdancing elements. Recommended age 8+

will backflip

FLIPS

using mats, trampolines, spotting, and step-by-step progressions, kids kids learn how to front, back, and side flip to be able to integrate into creatively combining and expressing their tricks.

Open GYm

Use practice time to improve skills learned in classes, not for leisure or games. During open gym, complete skill card for level testing, use workout area, mini trampoline or EuroTramp, and tumble/trick on spring floor. Prior attendance required.

MOVEMENT GAMES

kids have a blast with games inspired by P.E. classes in school. take it up a notch in our obstacle course with games like infection tag, dodgeball, real life among us, and more.
